Just went through quite the scare.
We went to campus to have lunch with Brad and we took the bus (because parking downtown is ridiculous). We got there fine - we've taken the bus hundreds of times - found Brad lecturing about chimps (what else?), ate lunch and headed back to the bus stop.
We got to the stop and the bus was already there, so Samara (4) hopped on the very full bus while I stood outside with Harper (2) to fold up the stroller. In that 15 seconds, the bus doors closed and it started leaving, with Harper and I still on the curb, and Samara on the bus. I saw her face, she was freaking out and was screaming, "OPEN THE DOORS!!!" The bus came to a stop about 10 feet away and let us on.
The entire ride back, she had some stray tears and said, "Mom, I love you so much, but we almost just left you. I was screaming and shouting." I told her that she reacted perfectly and I was so proud that she freaked out, probably one of the only times I'll ever say that!
